500 Million Society Self-Titled Album

Local Minnesota Music

I'm not going to deny it, I've been a super mega fan of 500 Million Society (former 550 Million Society, but due to an Atomic Meltdown in Peru they losted 50 million members, so they had to change their name. Don't blame them, blame Nuclear Science) since I found their Myspace page about 2 years ago. I have been pleading with them to make an album, and finally like an electric funk lighting bolt they release their first self-titled album.

Casanatra and All The Way Rider

Local Minnesota Music

Casanatra and All The Way Rider coming to Superior on Feburary 27th is like having the sun blast all this damn snow away in one big rock and roll nuclear blast. It's exciting to see some of the best rock and roll make the trek to the far north for one night of glorious rock and roll.

All The Way Rider coming off their upcoming California tour will have some new songs to treat our ears too, and Casanatra coming out of the recording studio will also have some cinnamon flavored new tracks.

You can download for FREE Casanatra's new track "Soft and Slowly"

Nothing Disgusting about The Yuckies!

The Yuckies are fantastic, and I know the word “fantastic” isn’t quite a word widely used to describe a punk band, but I can’t seem to find another word that fits them. They have such a great sound that I can’t bare to have their latest album “Dirty Bird” leave my cd player. As one of the local all-girl punk bands slowly make the transition to basic Rock and Roll, it’s refreshing to hear such a raw and exciting punk sound come from some of most creative girls I have personally met in a long time.

A Tortured Soul Interview

A Tortured Soul is one of the most unique sounds to come out of Milwaukee Metal Scene in a while. Playing Metal in a scene which is now mostly dominated by Hip Hop and Rap, these hardcore metal demons continue to evolve their sound and their philosophy on what Metal should be.

Interview with Barry from Shinedown

It's an old interview, but it's interesting to hear Barry from Shinedown talk about being in the band, the song Lady So Divine, and what it was like to be with Dimebag Darrell before he got murdered. Barry from Shinedown was very nice and very fun to talk too. I had a cold this day I did the interview so my voice sounds a little crackled. Listen to the Interview and check out some photos from this show at the Myth.
